HR Recruitment Officer
HR Recruitment Officer ​(Volunteer, Virtual, Home Based)
ABOUT THIS ROLE
​We are seeking experienced Recruiters to attract talented volunteers to Furry Friends and maintain volunteering numbers to meet organisational needs.
The Role: The HR Recruitment Officer will manage a range of tasks across the recruitment function, including but not limited to, developing position descriptions, writing job advertisements, shortlisting candidates, organising interviews, drafting interview questions, conducting reference checks and credentialing and will ensure successful on-boarding of all volunteers.
​Key responsibilities will include:

Manage and perform recruitment activities eg research role requirements, draft and review position descriptions and job ads, post and market job ads, review and shortlist applications, and interview candidates to make recommendations to line managers.

Manage recruitment channels to attract suitably qualified volunteer candidates.

Perform employment activities up to onboarding, such as conducting the onboarding briefing.

Perform exit procedures for volunteers who are leaving or transferring to other divisions.

Reporting to management as required eg recruitment statistics.

Any other HR tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the HR Team Leader.

Understand the organisation and its roles to identify gaps in recruitment.

Create quality position descriptions and job adverts to attract the right talent.

Be the point of contact for all new volunteers during onboarding process.
Requirements: To be considered, you will have:

Minimum Cert IV or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent.

At least 2 years’ proven experience in a HR generalist role and proven experience in recruitment.

Working knowledge of the Google Docs and Social Media.

Regular access to a computer with internet connection (at your own expense).

Proactive and able to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Genuine desire and commitment to help re-home companion animals.
The successful candidate must be able to commit to the role for a minimum of 6 months, however due to the time it takes to onboard & train volunteers we would prefer a candidate who foresee's themselves volunteering with the organisation long term.
All applicants must be able to commit to a minimum 5 hours per week and be available to attend a fortnightly team meeting (over the teleconferencing platform Google Meet).
Whilst working hours are flexible, responsiveness to both organisational needs as well as candidates is crucial in order to attract and recruit selected talent. ​ In return, this is a great opportunity to gain experience working within a virtual team environment, whilst making a direct and positive impact on the lives of homeless pets.
